About Mark Nowlin: Mark is an award-winning illustrator for the Seattle Times, also a wood carver and designer. His a Web site at, features examples of his news illustration and individualized creations, photographed by Bridget, who is the Visual Arts Librarian at Cornish College of the Arts and Registrar at the Monsen Collection, Seattle.

Comment: The Nowlins, Bridget and Mark, saw Bill demonstrating at the 2007 Seattle Print Fair, and they posed for the Web picture, below. She and other family members pooled their resources to get Mark his Mini for his birthday later that year.
