Back story: Dolores Carlos was one of seventeen people who entered an essay contest in 2019 put on by Bill Ritchie on behalf of the donor of the press, Gretchen Davidson. Davidson, who bought two Galleon Halfwood Presses in 2017 (one for the Ritchie Foundation and one for her own use) decided to pass the press forward. Ritchie devised an essay contest and Dolores won the press - see her composition here.
