Provenance: 1963. "Straw Bales". Painting. Approximately 24 X 14 inches. Oil on canvas. Signed lower right.
Artist's comment: Jim and Paquita were undergraduate students at Central Washington State College (Now CWU) at the same time as Bill and they shared many experiences. From Bill's senior thesis show, they bought this painting and, in addition, a sculpture. Jim commented that he knew about straw and hay bales because he had worked at loading them on the farm, like me.
